Heard on radio this morn' that Ellie will be given until the last minute to get over her rolled ankle from last week. Fingers crossed, she'll be right & we should give 'em a real test now. Despite the injuries & the absence of Perry.

With a bit of luck in front of goal maybe even win Pray

    2-1

    C'mon Can U

Any news on Van Egmond & Shippard?? Confused

won't be there unfortunately but i really think this will be our time against brisbane, i can see signs of the MVFC vs AUFC drought for AUFC since losing the grand final.

We must win this IMO. If we don't, we can kiss our final chances good bye. Simple as that.

    Well, yet another loss. 2-1.

WE are PATHETIC in front of goal. Simple as that. WE really need a classy striker who can finish. I did not realise we would miss Munoz as much as we do.

A 2-1 loss to Brisbane could be considered an improvement on the last game but in fact a draw should have been the final score. A goalkeeping howler by Williams who fell over trying to backtrack for the first goal from a 'hit and hope' from outside the box followed up by another chip by Brisbane in the 2nd half. To be fair Williams did make a good save towards the end. I commented on how Barbieri from Melbourne was prone to errors and someone else, quite rightly , pointed out how Williams was prone to the same errors.

Canberra deserved their goal but there were too many long balls which were swallowed up the Brisbane defence and this tactic didn't change for the whole game. When the ball did make it up front there was no holding it up and too many solo hero attempts. Meanwhile, Brisbane passed the ball around when in possession and looked dangerous on most attacks.

Canberra obviously missed Van Egmond in midfield, who can pass it around well and Elyse Perry who can attack down the wing from defence.

Hopefully everyone is back on deck for the next game.

Relax guys, we did much better than Perth last week! So many 1st team players missing or playing thru injury. Well done ladies! The Roar are the benchmark team & even their coach said "a draw was probably a fair result today"

It was a 1-1 performance against outstanding opponents & I just feel so bad for Lydia that was so unlucky to come in a game like that. Chin up, we can win the rest, it's a good draw from now on.

Deary me. He would not shut up. Didn't even know the actual team name. Kept calling them Queensland.

good result for the girls. Don't beleive we missed any of the other players out for the game. They did a great job. EXCEPT for the strikers again. Another game lost by Sykes - god when will junna learn and take her off. Bit sad for Williams, got her feet tangled. Left back was a bit lacking brisbane kept getting thruough there again. Can't believe junna took gill off for Hogg. SHe is not much good and shouldn't be playing at this level. Let her learn elsewhere. Canberra did well to hold bris to 2-1. Defence was great - good backline. Only the striking is the problem now - as it always has been.

The Striker position is going to be our downfall in our charge towards the finals. There is no way we will make a serious attempt for the title if we can't get a quality finisher ie. Munoz.
