France, Ireland to play off for Cup spot

Former champions France have been handed a potentially tough test in its bid to qualify for the World Cup finals after drawing the Republic of Ireland in the play-offs.

Giovanni Trapattoni's Irish side were one of the most impressive teams in their qualifying group eight, which was dominated by Italy.

They were one of two teams, the other being Ukraine, the French wanted to avoid for the two-leg play-off in which Ireland play at home on ...

well,

This morning i woke up to the score-line of 1-0 to Ukraine V england.

How can a world class team Like England lose to Ukraine?

I know for a fact that England could never lose to Ukraine but then i thought this is revenge on croatia.

Do any of you think that England lost on purpose to Ukraine so they could get above croatia on the table to knock them out ?

If England had won, Croatia would have qualified for the world cup but it doesn't seem so.

What are you're thoughts?

Scotland's World Cup dreams have been left in tatters after falling to a humiliating 4-0 defeat to Norway, which left it with a mountain to climb to make the finals.

Morten Gamst Pedersen grabbed a double for Norway but the Group Nine match turned in the first half when Gary Caldwell was sent off for two bookings inside a minute.

Goals from John Arne Riise and Blackburn's Pedersen soon followed with Erik Husekleep's first international goal ...

England have alredy hosted 1 before and fifa should let countrys who havent held 1 host it.This would make it fair for most countrys to hold one.

For instance Africa are being given the chance so we should because we havent hosted one.

Its all about who has and hasent hosted it yet.
