I have an inkling ffa aren't gonna want another licence to crumble so I can't see Wellington folding. If they did too, it'd certainly draw to a close Australia's foray into nz for footballing teams. Do we think ffa will be happy to close the door on nz? Especially if we are soon ushering in a second div, obviously we'll need to be looking into different markets- npl or not.

Whilst if it means …
Canberra's five points of difference in A-League expansion race
Tue Dec 11, 2018 10:35 amChris1822
Canberra A-League bid leader Michael Caggiano has promised to sell out Canberra Stadium in round one of next season.

Caggiano and his team are nervously waiting a decision from the Football Federation Australia board on Wednesday when they're expected to name two teams for expansion.

Canberra are among the favourites of the six remaining bids to be handed an A-League licence following an …

Canberra A-League bid to build $30 million training facility
Tue Dec 11, 2018 10:37 amChris1822
The Canberra A-League bid will build a $30 million state-of-the-art training facility if it wins an expansion licence next week, with the hub likely to double as the new Capital Football headquarters.

The complex has been dubbed a "mini AIS for football" and will likely be built at Gungahlin or become part of the Stromlo Forest Park redevelopment.

It is understood the money is guaranteed if …

Multi-million dollar licence fees will be key to which A-League expansion bid gets the green light, Football Federation Australia chief executive David Gallop admitted today.
Six bids – South Melbourne FC, Team 11, West Melbourne, South Sydney, South-West Sydney and Canberra – are still in the running to join the A-League, possibly as soon as next season, after a series of stop-start delays …
Canberra A-League bid backed by former FFA board member
Mon Dec 03, 2018 7:50 pmJoey47
Former Football Federation Australia director Danny Moulis has thrown his support behind A-League expansion hopefuls Canberra and South Melbourne, declaring the bids "streets ahead" of the four others. Moulis spent three years on the FFA board but was not re-elected for a second term at the highly-publicised annual general meeting last month.

New chairman Chris Nikou and Moulis were the only …
Ideal team

All hypothetical, but hey it's a bit of fun and I guess it is indicative of the type of climate we would be throwing ourselves in to once we were to get a side. But an ideal team? using a mixture of players in their current situation and players realistic enough who would come in the future even if they wouldn't now (eg Carl Valeri)?

GK: Andrew Redmayne. No doubt could entice him out of a team …
Time to get our money back?

I signed over my $200 to A League 4 Canberra along with many others who had a vision but it's now clear there is no chance that Canberra will be given a place now or in the foreseeable future. If FFA are prepared to bankroll a Club in Western Sydney that barely exists yet not entertain an application from the likes of Canberra then it's time to give up on the dream or at least refund our money. …
