Who will our coach be?

Graham Arnold (shudder)
Robbie Hooker
Tom Sermanni
Random australian coach that's just been sacked by his fifth a-league club.

In the Ideal world we would get Johan Neeskens.

I think Branko would be the front runner for any new HAL club. Tom Sermanni would be in with a shot. Dunno if he can as he'd still be on contract with the FFA.

We don't one of those coaches who have been to many A-League clubs and just get sacked. People like Kossie, Culina, Theodorakopolous. IMO we should look to get a foreign coach.

I think a Culina/Zelic pairing would be awesome.

I'd like to see someone local to start with. Buying in a coach will cost a motza. Perhaps Lino Fiorese. He did a good job with Belconnen while ago.

Culina is washed up.. I'd rather we bring in someone new then a former coach of another club.

I think Sydney F.C have the right idea.

More talking in terms of looking overseas.. You could look across Europe, I'm thinking South America.. A Brazilian coach might warm to the idea of having a job that isn't so cut throat like it is over there, i.e he won't be sacked 3 games into the season in Australia.

If he has a young family Canberra becomes even more attractive..

Why not pick the best local coach if they're available? Seeing a local lead the squad would probably boost local support.

well yeah arniceo, I'd rather have some really good local coach than john kosmina or someone.

It is an interesting point however i wouldn't really call it a good point so when ivan slavich says it regularly it sort of gets on my nerves

Nothing against Wellington as I'm one of those who'd prefer to have NZ teams in our competition, however I don't speak for everyone. But Canberra should be pushing all pionts to get into the A-League, it is an Australian competition largely so why shouldn't the capital be included. If we are going to beat W.Sydney for a spot in the A-League we need as many reasons as possible.

oh yeah for sure but not as our main point.

what ever happened to we have good grassroots participation or we have a lot of community support or we have the money so why not?
