Benefits of a World Cup on Australian soil to Canberra?

on Fri Nov 26, 2010 4:12 pm
So, with less than a week, until arguably one of the biggest days in Australian football history, hosting a World Cup, will no doubt have HUGE effects on Canberra, and Australia. But what are these benefits to Canberra, and an A-League team?

Ideal stadium, increase in interest in a Canberra team?

Thoughts?

if the world cup ever comes to DownUnder, we can hopefully build football/soccer specific stadiums throughout the regions that have supporters of the sport.
