It's the Final Countdown...

Well boys and girls... July is here and July is the month of truth- THE FINAL DECISION FOR WHO WILL BE IN THE HYUNDAI A-LEAGUE 2010/2011 SEASON. Will this end in tears or will it end in joy? Who knows but all we can do is sit here and wait for the decision.

While we are here discussing the possibility of a Canberra A-League team and who will have the 12th spot in front of our computers, the members of the FFA might know if Canberra or our enemies Western Sydney are about to celebrate.

It has been 2 hard years of this bidding process but this is the final chapter... the final countdown...

It's July. Will Canberra get the nod this month?

Can we dare to dream, or will the journey end in tears?
One thing for sure is we haven't died wondering, we're in there fighting for our lives.

Will Canberra be taking the field in twelve months time, three weeks after the World Cup.

And if we are can you imagine the football talk around town over the next 12 months as the club takes shape, players are discussed a Coach is signed.

I was listening to the radio yesterday and they said within 2-3 weeks.

yep by the end of the month we will know.

i think that ATM the FFA has us penciled us in as the 12th team, however they are giving the WS bids as much time as possible to present a formidable bid.

FWIW i am being negative so that if we miss out, i'll jusst be like, i expected it.

Bloody Hell... They said beginning of June and now it is late July. Then it will be announced in late August.

I am getting very anxious and want the bloody decision NOW! But I am thinking it will go to Western Sydney.

ok, say it does go to Western Sydney.. what are we meant to do then?? push for 2014 or smg?

i don't think they have pulled out. but i think they are resigned to not winning the 12th spot and there main focus has switched to the 13th and 14th spots.

So as we gather towards mid-July we are still waiting for the FFA's decision. Have they really not made their minds up? Surely they must know who they want in the league and who is more ready for a team???
