2010/2011: What's considered a success, and what is considered a failure?

I could probably ask this question tomorrow, but it can't wait.
Anyway, it looks as though we are going to have our best squad in the three seasons the W-League has been running, this season. So what should considered a success this season, and what would be considered a failure?
Last season we didn't really ever look convincing despite making the finals, so I think last year we were below our expected standard.
If we get the squad we are all expecting to see, I think we should at least aim for a Grand Final spot.

Success: Honestly, if we win the comp it'd be great. I don't wanna experience the feeling of 2008/09 again, that was not very nice at all. That said, making the GF would be a huge boost for football in this here little village, and a home final would really show how much it means.
Failure: We have to start well, because SydFC and Brissy will get the jump on us if we don't. Finishing outside the top 3 or losing our semi I consider failure.

IMO, a GF appearance would be the expectation considering the squad we've got.
One of Canberra Utd, Sydney FC and Brisbane Roar will win it this year. Hopefully it is us.

I'd have to say that 3rd place is the minimum but we should really be expecting us to break the sydney brisbane dominance of last year and make the top two.
the squad that (we think) we have acquired would be the best on paper in the league, how they gel and such will determine our season

That's a big call Chris give that, on my calculations, Brisbane probably has 12 current members of the Matildas squad and Sydney at least 8. At best CU has 6. Hopefully we have brought in some strong internationals because I am not convinced the balance of our locals are that good.

We know what our players are capable of. Most have been there for the full 2 years. It looks as though Munoz and Shipard will be playing this season. That is already 2 Matildas and they bring a wealth of experience to the side.
We have got a tremendous spine.
Brush, Gill, EVE, Maciejewski, Munoz, Shipard, Heyman. Add in Perry, plus Studman and possibly Chapman, that is a blood good side.

It is going to be tough this season, especially with Sydney FC and Brisbane Roar, looking as though, they have strengthened their squad. However, despite all this, we have a very capable squad, with the nucleus being together for the 3 years. Add in the talent of the young players, as mentioned of, Perry, Van Egmond, and Heyman, and we'd have arguably the best squad in the league.
Anything less than a semi final performance will be a disappointment.

Have we got any info on how the other teams are shaping this year? A semis spot is the minimum that we should demand but I think we should have a real crack.

Only Brisbane Roar have announced their squad via facebook. And I agree with the latter.
