What would you rather, Australia make the world cup for the current tournament, or canberra get accepted into the a-league for the 2010-11 season?

if you choose one, the other misses out.

keep in mind that canberra can still get accepted whenever the FFA expand to 14, just as the socceroos can make the next world cup.

I think it's vitally important that Australia qualify for every World Cup from now on. If we ever fail, the media interest in football will tail off, sponsors will jump ship and the A-League will be doomed.

Canberra are going to get in eventually. If not in 2010, we will get in the next time new teams are admitted.

Fortunately we don't have to make the choice of one or the other. World Cup Qualification AND an A League club in Canberra is well on the cards. As the late great Big John said - I'm excited!

Plus, there will be lots more opportunities for Canberra to get a licence.
