aleague4canberra, Western Sydney ARE going to get an A-League team. Their bid is now all good. It is just a matter whether Canberra also get accepted.

oh sorry i did miss something, could you please post some sort of evidence for your statement? must've missed all the articles guarenteeing western sydney a spot.

Their bid is as good as ours now. They have all the money- the only thing they need to sort out is stadium. FFA's preference is to go to Western Sydney. Mike Cockerill, who is VERY close with the FFA said of FSFC a few weeks ago, that Western Sydney will get a team but there is a possibility that it will go to 13 teams.

I must say it's hard to imagine Western Sydney not getting in but I remain hopeful on the 13 team solution

Yea, there is no way Western Sydney are going to miss out. If the FFA want Western Sydney, they WILL get them. Our only hope is a 13 team comp or the Nix get booted out. Doubt

Its unlikely we will get the bid.. Western Sydney is looking the more likely but there is still reason to hope

Good to see you back on the forum, Ecz Thumbs Up

Anyway, it is looking quite slim BUT there is a possibility that Wellington will not be competing in the A-League next year, to make room for Canberra. There is also a possibility that the FFA will give us a licence but for the season after, to give us extra time to prepare.
