Simon thinks local
Matildas striker Kyah Simon has all but ruled out playing for Canberra United this year but is expecting a number of her Australian teammates to switch W-League clubs.
United made an offer to the Australian young female footballer of the year, but Simon said she was set to stay in Sydney. Simon played for the Central Coast Mariners last year.
"To avoid being away from my family and my work, I'm trying to look locally [in Sydney]," Simon said.
But Simon hasn't signed yet with the Central Coast Mariners or Sydney FC and most senior Matildas are yet to sign contracts with any of the eight clubs. It means the second season of the W-League could see a host of team allegiances change.
