that Canberra Athletic one is a good start, but i dont think green and blue go well together

Here is just something I did in 5 minutes..
I would have added the F.C in, but this is my team in a Fantasy side and I just used the shield editor on the site.
I too like our current one, but this shows that simple designs also work.

i dont care what the logo is, as long as the name is Canberra Athletic I'm happy. I've been lobbying for that name since before the bid even started.

Yea i'm a fan of those crests of the old skool. Canberra United's while clever to me smacks of "rent-a-logo" where to major sponsor had a big say in it to make it marketable. as i've said in other posts canberrans generally are clever even smug people at time, so something with class would suit me. i'm thinking tottenham, porto that sort...

I am very much the liking the current one actually---largely i think due to its easy symbolism and recognisability. The modified Parliament house flows well, is easily recognisabble, one is thinking 'Canberra' well before readin the text. I am very much in favour of it.

Yea that is probably the best idea, just change the united bit to Athletic...
But there could be a good fresh design that comes up once we get the spot, i wouldn't be against a new design

I know pretty much everyone's cool with the current logo, but I was bored today, so I made this. I know it doesn't have Parliament house in it, was taking too long to make. I can add it later though instead of the ACT silhouette. The bird is the gang-gang cockatoo; the ACT's faunal emblem. The two lines are from the kit I posted in the other thread.

I like that a lot arinceo. Don't know if it'd look any good/better, but how about the ACT silhouette behind the writing, but still visible?
