The grand final rematch in the first game of the season. Both sides have a lot of new faces in their teams, Canberra will have just three players in their starting XI today that played in last years grand final.

My prediction for the match is a 2-1 win to us.

Well, there we have it. 3-0 Loss. And that was a dismal effort. They need massive work on their fitness, and up front= FACEPALM.

Oh well, next week... hopefully the Capital Punishment army should get them over the line.

Oh jeez... that is NOT good signs for this season. We were lacking fitness, passion and are just too inexperienced. Up front we have NOTHING except for Tseng- she is a decent player. AS for BOTH of the Sykes, they are pretty bad TBH.

That was WOEFUL. As said they seemed to be lacking the heart and aren't playing for one another. As for the attack.

Gill, Williams, Brush, Van Egmond, Perry and the Sykes sisters were terrible and they are meant to be our real stars. Really bad TBH.

Williams- 4.5/10: Looked very shaky. Cost us the 1st goal and was unconvincing when saving the goals. Although did pull of some
Perry- 5.5/10: Looked average. Very shaky in the 1st half but started finding her feet in the 2nd.
Lin- 7.5/10: Bar the one slip, she was VERY solid and was easily their best defender.
Brush- 5/10: Cost them the 3rd goal by not marking. Looked a bit out of place for some reason.
N.Sykes- 3.5/10: Was pretty ordinary. Let her player fly past her all the time and did not pick up.
Van Egmond- 4/10: Was not good at all. Thought she would be as good as Chapman, but really looked bad.
Majciweski- 6/10: Was quite good TBH. Could've gotten a point. Was solid.
Gill- 4.5/10: Looked put of sorts. Has she lost speed over the off-season?
N.Sykes- 4/10: Same as last year. Didn't seem as fast though.
Tseng- 8/10: Looked like the only player who showed passion and really got in there. Needs to be given better service.
Bisset- 4.5/10: Didn't do anything to earn praise or criticism. Was WAY to quiet though.

Veljanovska- 4/10: Didn't see much of her.
Raymond- 6.5/10: Really liked what I saw. Think she should be starting striker.

Team Rating- 4/10

My ratings:

Williams: 5 -looked very shaky, cost us the first goal.
Perry: 6 -our right side looked pretty safe all day, good signs IMO.
brush: 7-solid game
Lin: 7- solid game, the reason we conceded the goals is not because of the players in the defence but the denfensive structure IMO.
N.sykes: 2 -woeful, woeful, woeful.
Van egmond: 5-For her first game she didn't really have too bad a game, but way too casual on the ball.
Macijewski: 6-got muscled off the ball way too much, but still ok
Gill: 5-showed some good signs but for every good pass she did, she let the team down with a poor pass.
A.sykes: 2 -woeful, woeful, woeful. Note, when someone is running at the last line of the defence, don't just stand there and look at her, MAKE A RUN THROUGH!! what's the point of being quick if you don't make runs for through balls?
Tseng: 7-looked the goods, promising signs
Bisset: 5-didn't present a good option enough times.

raymond: 6-definately better than sykes, should start

They all deserve a '0' and should be ashamed of themseleves. They are supposed to be the elite football players of australia. Could see a better game at the women's premier league games in canberra. The supposed 'great' sykes girls were embarrassing. PLEASE get rid of them. Van Egmond didn't show anything great, and Perry also was an embarrassment. Could not run and had no idea what she should be doing. Age does not matter. If they can't play properly should not be on the field.

Junna has a lot to answer for - his choice of players and formation was dreadful. Lets hope he works it out by next week.
