Branko Culina!!!
Sure he was terrible at Sydney FC, but thats Sydney and they go through coaches like pairs of socks. He could definantly be our coach for at least 3 years and could be a good foundation coach.
I wouldnt mind Guus Hiddink but everyone wants Aussie Guus!!

Rob Baan...
he was the caretaker coach of the socceroos for one game.. plus he's dutch and australia loves dutch coaches. and he'll be easy to get because he works with the ffa..
either that or paul wade... bring back a former cosmo!!!

I doubt Rob Baan. he has already retired from coaching and has gone back to Holland.

i reckon Robbie Hooker could be okay... i'd like to have some good local Aussie coaches as assistants (maybe even Hooker or Ivan or Ned Zelic)
but i would prefer an overseas coach like a pom or some brit

Surely you're not referring to our bid leader Ivan Slavich.
Yea, his CV will look good when approaching the Canberra United board:

IVAN?? comeon.. some of the possible recruits, Paul Okon, Gary Van Egmond, Kosmina, though personally besides possibly Paul Okon I wouldn't go for any of those.. I would have said Branko but he's with the jets now.. I reckon Robbie Hooker could be a good choice or aim for socceroos retiring after the world cup and possibly wanting to coach (Craig Moore, John Aloisi, Chippers, Viduka)

He says and means Ivan Zelic. Who happens to be assistant coach at Sydney Olympic. Maybe a good choice for assistant but no-where near ready to be head coach of an A-League side yet.

if he meant that why didn't he just say it, it's not like this guy is a household name.

He said Ivan or Ned Zelic, I thought it was pretty clear.
And he is a household name for any canberra football fan that has followed the game since before the 2006 world cup.
He came through the renowned Deakin youth system, excelled in the Canberra Premier League, played for the Cosmos and comes from a famous local football family. Geez there is even a video interview with him right now on the home page of theworldgame.com, the biggest football media outlet in the Country. Go have a look - http://www.theworldgame.com.au/

He difinetely isn't ready for A-league coaching. If you can't crack a state league coaching gig and is second fiddle at the club then no way is he ready.
