Heyman is continuing on from her great form that was seen last season at the Mariners.
Great purchase.

FULL TIME
PERTH GLORY 1 (Katie Gill 41’) CANBERRA UNITED 4 (Michelle Heyman 34’, 70’, 87’ Cian Maciejewski 57’)
Whilst sportal still has Caitlin Munoz down for the first goal I have been reliably informed, and checked with team management, that Michelle Heyman scored the opener. We'll have to wait and see for official confirmation (not sure if it was a deflected shot or whatever) but it looks like a debut hat-trick for Heyman.
Thanks for your interest in Canberra United and we hope to see lots of you 'on the hill' for the first home match against the Roar next weekend. Remember to check your e-fanzine 'C U In GREEN' for a special 'buy one get one free' ticket offer for the Roar game.

Anyway, sounds like the team exceptionally well. Heyman in particular. Was also surprised to see the relegation of Tseng to the bench, to be replaced for Bissett. But I guess you can only have so many attacking players, and one will have to make way.
Hopefully the team can build, as it seemed as though they only really clicked into gear in the 2nd half. They will certainly need to at the top of their game next week, against the Brisbane Roar.

Good to see Heyman bagging a hat-trick. Surely if she continues her tremendous form from last season, she'd be a chance at the Matildas World Cup squad.
Would also be interested to see how some of the new players went, eg. Munoz, Glohe, Cooper and Shipard.
Anyway, 4-1 is an outstanding result.
League leaders.
