Green Version of Wednesday looks brilliant.
What a people's thoughts on the away jersey?
I think drawing inspiration from Parma would be great..

I liked the Sheff Wed strip with the gold trim. i don't want it to look like Celtic, rather it be original. :)

Maybe a bit of blue on the collar as well, that way the alternate actually uses colours on our main jersey, even if some are only subtle :)

Pretty good. Maybe slightly darker green, and maybe blue shoulder piping (to tone down the gold a bit).
Change strip of blue with gold/white/green touches (probably not striped again though - maybe yellow sleeves).
Loving that it's the Sheff Wednesday jersey that gets used as the template. Although that one shown here is obviously unlucky (as it has a white centre stripe rather than blue)

technically the brumbies aren't a canberran side as they have dropped the canberra association in their name/branding. i'm guessing that's the reason they have the coat of arms instead of something iconic to canberra.

The ACT coat of arms would incorporate well into a club emblem, portcullis at the centre etc. But Ivan and the bid team are pretty keen to encompass areas outside the ACT (much like the brumbies have) and to do that you have to lose the Canberra-centric name and badge.
As for colours. Green hoops for me.

yes but the team would still be based in canberra, it would have to have a name with canberra in it don't you think?
and i agree that the ACT coat of arms would incorporate well into a club emblem-

For sure. I'm all for "Canberra FC" or "Canberra Utd" or some such name that locks in Canberra as the team base. I'm not a fan of diluting support by trying to be all things to all people. If people from the "capital region" want to support us then good. If not, so be it.

Everytime I look at his jersey it just stands out - I would love if it looked something like this and would happily wear it - The away kit would look good with this design and a blue and yellow theme as well.

Black and white?
No way, that just brings connotations to Collingwood..and that is the LAST thing we want.
How bout green and blue? Would help with the Northern Fury clash.
Seattle have an alright strip with those colours:
Home:
Away:
Perhaps in darker green(like the w-league strip) and/or a different style...they'd probably end up with Reebok as their kit supplier anyway.
Hmm, looks kinda like Raiders gear at a glance...donno if that's a good or bad thing.
Green definately needs to stay the main colour though.
Gonna post a few other ideas for strips when I get a chance to mess around in photoshop.

I agree that we should stick with Green. It is already the colour for the W-League and the Raiders. It is pretty much the colour for Canberra sporting teams in my opinion. :D
I kind of like the idea of traditional stripes rather than a complex jersey design like some of the 'newer' teams in World Football are bringing out.

I think it is perfect, the only possible change I would make is have some white on the sleeve, like the Juve top.

I reckon we need a jersey completely different from the other clubs. Even scrap Reebok as the jersey sponsor and get nike or addidas to give us a cool design.

Team Colours

Need to look at the colours in terms of marketing- Differentiate the team colours from other canberra sporting teams (otherwise ppl will bring raiders merchandise to the games) in addition to other A League teams.
I recommend choosing army colours or combinations of army green and an earthy brown. Mountains, Defence Force all in the territory.
Sorry to spoil the party for ppl wanting bright shrek green, but a darker green still is a green you know.
cheers!
