Canberra for a bit
Tue May 04, 2010 7:40 am
Am flying home this week to spend some time with my parents before i head in to surgery.
Will be getting out to a few of the games on the weekend but also want to know the pub/s to be at to watch the final week of the EPL unfold.
I left Canberra in 87 and have only been back 3 or 4 times so I wouldnt have a clue where to go.
Any ideas??

Yea, try the Deakin Soccer Club, or the Hellenic Club in Woden.

Thanks guys.
I ended up staying in for the footy, totally forgot about Mum and Dads 52 inch LCD.
However i did get out to a few local matches, well tried to the ANU vs Cooma match was a non event.
But guys the quality i saw was alot better than what is in Brisbanes Premier and State league. Totally impressed.
The week before i went to see Brisbane Strikers vs Sunshine Coast (first place vs second). Paid ten dollars for the experience and both me and my mate left wondering why did we bother.
Player mistakes, un inspired play, lack of tactically ability, player scuffles were rampant.
The only positive out of it was Farina Jr was subbed on and his movement off the ball and passing stood out.
I just wanted to say that i was refreshing to see good football, and begs the question where is a Canberra franchise even louder.
