Yes i think "The Bluebells" is a good nickname but we should stay with Athletic 4 sure!!

It's the ACT floral emblem.

But the Canberra Royal Bluebell F.C isn't on the list to vote on!

The Royal Bluebell is the ACT's native floral emblem (please see previous post on pg. 6 for details on why it should be called this, then decide)

Is this name of yours meant to be "royal blubell" or "royal bluebells" I would'v thought it would be the latter but you semm pretty consistent with the first one??

Canberra Atheltic has a realy good ring to it. It's original, and i reckon its the best option at the moment. As long as its not something stupid like some of the names at the moment - fury, roar, heart etc.... They are all too 'American' for my liking

I just thought Canberra Royal Bluebell Football Club sounded better. The added 's' makes it harder to pronounce.

Canberra Royal Bluebell FC does sound good but could you imagine when the teams walk out the announcer saying "here they come, let's give a big cheer for...the Bluebells"?

I think to decide the name for the new Canberra A-League team, when the bid is successful,
there should be a vote by all the "5000" foundation members who helped establish the team,
These foundations membership spots would fill to 5000 capacity after the team is announced, and then
similar to what Melbourne heart will be doing, I think the foundation members should get to vote on the new teams name.

I am confident that this name will be Canberra Athletic:)

probably just united or athletic.

maybe the greens, reference to our political background and team colours

fair enough.. the bluebell sounds like a reasonable emblem alongside capital hill or smg.

just leave it as athletic or united, plus we are going to be wearing green anyway so why would we be called the bluebells or watever it was... and if you want a nickname... well just call ourselves the greenies or pollies
